On February 3-2017 LuvnGrace Events will be presenting an exclusive book signing at the Chali-Rossi Art Gallery for acclaimed New York/ Hamptons Author COERTE FELSKE. His various book covers feature supermodels Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Irina Shayk and have been shot by renowned photographers Ellen Von Unwerth, Peter Beard and his longtime friend Raphael Mazzucco who will be directing Coerte’s iconic book “The Shallow Man” as a feature Film in the very near future.
After the an invite-only gathering a party honoring successful former Vancouverite and one of the world’s most Influential and successful fashion photographers RAPHAEL MAZZUCCO alongside his family, friends & Vancouver’s best in Fashion, Art and Beauty. Special guest for the evening will be NHL Legend & Artist RICHARD BRODEUR. Raphael Mazzucco is one of the world’s most influential and talented fashion photographers and contemporary artists, critically acclaimed for his singular eye and his captivating aesthetic. After years spent honing his craft in Italy, France and Amsterdam, his arrival in New York City garnered attention from some of fashion’s elite; creating iconic imagery for the likes of Victoria’s Secret, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, Guess Jeans, L’Oreal, Ralph Lauren and Bergdorf Goodman. His photographs have appeared on the cover of three Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues in a four-year span, including the 2006, 2008 and 2009 main cover images.
Supermodels GiGi Hadid, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kate Upton, Irina Shayk, Elle McPherson and many others have been photographed by Raphael countless times over the years . His imagery has appeared in L’Official, French & Italian Vogue, L’Uomo Vogue, Marie Claire, Playboy, and Vanity Fair, featuring not only his editorial fashion imagery but celebrity portraiture of notable actors including Benicio Del Toro, Matt Damon, Kate Beckinsale, Iman, Susan Sarandon, and Elizabeth Banks. He has made a name for himself as one of the most sought after photographers in fashion today.
A two-year tour of exhibitions that traveled the globe, presenting his work to Milan, Florence, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Singapore, Los Angeles, Art Basel in Miami, and New York City was met with critical praise. Following the tour, Raphael immediately launched into an artwork & photo essay book collaboration with music impresario, Jimmy Iovine and rap producer, Sean “Diddy” Combs. Interview Magazine joined with supermodel Carolyn Murphy this past summer to host an exhibition of his work at his Montauk, Long Island home, adding to recent profiles of him in the Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Style Section. Paris Vogue has also featured Raphael several times, commenting that his style “oozes sensuality and charm.”
Coerte V.W. Felske was born in New York City and grew up in Manhattan and Quogue, Long Island. He attended Bronxville High School and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College. He did his graduate work in film directing and screenwriting at Columbia University. The Shallow Man, originally published in 1995, was his first novel. His second novel, Word, came out in 1998 followed by The Millennium Girl in 2000, Scandalocity in 2012, and the upcoming The Ivory Stretch in summer, 2016 (for in-depth biography go to coertefelske.com) After the hardcover runs the online literary imprint The Dolce Vita Press, was founded in conjunction with Amazon.com to publish and distribute the author’s books. The imprint’s inaugural publication was The Shallow Man: 20th Anniversary Edition followed by Scandalocity and now the soon to be released The Ivory Stretch. Felske has three more novels completed–Chemical/Animal to be released in 2017, Three Sleeps to Double Happiness in 2018, and A Touch of Noir in 2019.
